Sports physiotherapy · Lagos

Get back to sport. Properly.

Rehabilitation built on objective testing, not guesswork. We measure where you are, we tell you what it will take, and we test you again at the end so you know you are actually ready.

What we treat

Six things.
Done properly.

Every programme starts with a physical assessment and ends with a physical test. Nothing is assumed.

01→

Sports injury

Hamstring, ACL, ankle, shoulder. Diagnosis, loading programme, and a graded return to training.

02→

Post-surgical rehab

Working alongside your surgeon's protocol. We speak to them directly, and we follow the timeline they set.

03→

Back & neck pain

Not bed rest and a leaflet. A graded loading programme, because the evidence is unambiguous that it works better.

04→

Strength & conditioning

For athletes who are not injured but want to stop getting injured. Force plate testing, asymmetry screening, programming.

05→

Dry needling

For trigger points and persistent muscular pain. Used as an adjunct to loading, never as a standalone treatment.

06→

Home visits

For the first weeks after surgery, or when travel is the thing stopping you from doing the work. Lagos mainland and island.

The programme

Twelve weeks.
Measured weekly.

This is the shape of a typical return-to-sport programme. Your actual timeline depends on the injury and on how you respond — but this is what we are aiming at, and we will tell you each week whether you are on it.

Week 1–2

Calm it down

Reduce pain and swelling. Restore range. Isometric loading begins early — the evidence says do not wait.

Week 3–4

Build the base

Progressive loading through range. First strength measurements taken so we have a baseline to beat.

Week 5–8

Load it hard

Heavy strength work and the start of running or sport-specific patterns. This is the part people rush. Do not.

Week 9–11

Speed & chaos

Plyometrics, change of direction, unpredictable loading. The body has to handle what sport actually asks of it.

Week 12

Test & discharge

Repeat the strength tests. If you are within 10% of the other side, you are cleared. If not, we keep going. No guesswork.

Torn hamstring, week three of pre-season. They told me twelve weeks when everyone else told me six. They were right, and I have not torn it since.
